UPDATE: Ryan Seacrest's alleged stalker pleads not guiltyRyan Seacrest’s alleged stalker has pleaded not guilty to stalking the US TV host.

Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr faced a judge at a Los Angeles court this morning, following his arrest last week at Seacrest’s workplace in West Hollywood.

The judge granted a protective order for Seacrest that states that Uzomah, 25, must stay away from the American Idol presenter. His bail was also set at $150,000.

Uzomah is alleged to have stalked Seacrest between 15 September and 30 October.

Last Friday, Uzomah was arrested outside the E! building, where Seacrest records his TV and radio shows.

In September, Uzomah pleaded guilty to three misdemeanors after choking Seacrest’s bodyguard outside an Orange County hospital.

If convicted, Uzomah faces up to four years in prison. He is due back in court on 16 November.
